Important Update

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Portland Maine Professionals Chapter is regrettably postponing our Uncorked fundraising event due to public health concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19.  The event was scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Customs House in Portland.  The event will be rescheduled for a future date, and we will communicate that date as soon as it is known.  If you are a ticket holder we will honor your ticket at the re-scheduled date.  If you would like to request a refund, please contact emilykkelsey@gmail.com and we will honor your request.   We regret the last minute change, but are acting in an abundance of caution and in accordance with CDC advisories.

Annual Fundraiser

The 2019 event was a HUGE success!! We raised just under $40,000, thanks to many corporate sponsors and event attendees. We’re hoping 2020 will be even better!

Tickets are available here.

Annual Yard Sale

Our last and final annual yard sale was held August 17 and 18, 2019 at our usual location in Cumberland, ME thanks to PMP member Jake Jacobson. After probably 10 years of storing yard sale items for PMP, Jake’s garage is finally empty! We netted around $1,400 for our efforts this year. Many thanks to all those who gathered sale items, helped with set-up and/or tear down, and worked during the sale. We couldn’t do it without you!! Special thanks to Jake Jacobson for his years and years of garage space, his notorious grilling skills, and his unending good humor!

While we should never say “never”, this was our last yard sale because we’ve had great success with our annual Portland Uncorked! event, which diminished the need to conduct the yard sale. In addition, Jake’s neighbor has decided to sell the property, so our roadside yard sale spot is gone.
